Personality:

Kind, Loyal, Helpful, Forgetful, Bluntly Honest, Obsessive, Awkwardly Calm, Curious, Naïve, Sloppy, Motherly, Spacey,  Passionate, dependent, stubborn, reclusive, insecure.

Kind- She is kind to all she sees, even if she is not that fond of the person.

Loyal- Her loyalty has is strong. She is loyal to her cats and friends whom she helps and looks after as much as possible. In fact, she will stop whatever she is doing to go help someone, even if it keeps her from doing something else. She would never betray a friend, and if two friends conflict, then she will gather both together to find a solution.

Helpful: If anyone needs help with anything then she will take of it. She is most helpful with finding lost objects because she has a habit of wandering the castle looking for stray cats, and will accidentally find students lost things.

Forgetful: She will try to help her friends, but if she gets lost in thought she will forget what she was doing.

Bluntly Honest: She will never lie to you, but when you ask her a question, she will honestly answer it, but it comes off bluntly. She is not someone to keep a secret because she if someone asks her about it she will answer honestly.

Obsessive: When it comes to the things she likes, she can be very obsessive. She is most obsessive with cats and watching magical sports. Also if something catches her curiosity she will obsessively follow it until she is satisfied.

Awkwardly Calm: Not much fazes her, she remains completely calm at all times, but this makes it seem like she doesn't have much emotion, though she does have different expressions. The only exceptions are cats and sports. When she finds a cat she will be extremely exited or if she’s watching sports, she will become extremely passionate.

Curious: She shares the curiosity of a cat, in that it doesn't take much to catch her curiosity and she will go to even the most scary places to satisfy her curiosity which gets her into trouble.

Naïve: She will naively help anyone, even from other houses. Making her a easy target for manipulation

Sloppy: When it comes to her daily life, she is very sloppy, forgetting to brush her hair, messed up tie..etc.

Motherly: Along with being loyal she is motherly, especially to the underclassmen. To her they are like the lost kittens she finds and she will take care of them, make them some tea, and listen to their story. If you need a shoulder to cry on, her calm voice will relax you and can even put you to sleep.

Spacey: Along with always falling asleep most of the time, she will often space out when deep in thought. She will even stop dead in the middle of the hall while she is trying to think.

Passionate: She is extremely passionate about her dreams and desires to the point of obsession.

Dependent but not desired to be: Because of her mannerisms and her narcolepsy, she is often in need of being taken care of. She needs help when she falls asleep while walking, when she gets stuck in high places, ..etc, but she needs constant supervision to keep her out of trouble. However, she desperately wants to be independent, and take care of herself, this is evident in how she dresses, its very sloppy because she dressed herself. This desire to be independent causes her to turn down help from others leaving her in tough situations.

Stubborn: When she gets in her ways she can be very stubborn, she is most stubborn with accepting help from others. She would help someone in a heart beat, but she has a hard time allowing others to help her because she feels she is depending on others to much. This stubbornness causes her to become disagreeable with others.

Reclusive: Though she will easily have a conversation with anyone who starts it first, she tends to not talk about personal things or about whats troubling her with anyone, but her cat. This causes a bit of rift between her and other students.

Insecure: Most of the time being insecure is not a problem for her, but with out her cat to talk to, she gets uncomfortable, agitated and lonely, her solution so far, is to find an underclassmen to latch on to, and follow around. This can be very uncomfortable to the other person unless they know her well enough.

Mannerisms:

Annie often stares at people for no reason, because she is probably deep in thought. She often sleeps not only in class, but even standing up to do her being a narcoleptic. When not sleeping she can be found wondering the castle. Since her first year, Annie collects stray cats, and tries to hide the in the common room, even after getting in trouble several times she just can’t help herself when she sees a poor lonely cat. She also has a habit of asking her cat for his opinion or advice, whom she carries around where she can, but without him she will become less interactive with others, unless she is with a friend. She also has a habit of climbing to high places when she is upset or not feeling well, this causes her to get in trouble, because she often gets stuck, and will stubbornly try to get down herself.

History:

Annie comes from a long line of pure blooded cat breeders, who bread purebred black cat familiars for high class witches and wizards. Her father is Arthur Bastet and old school cat breeder, whom has a dislike for stray cats, this is because he finds them to be dirty and he thinks black cats are superior. Following him is her brother Adrian, unlike other boys his age, 19, he stays close to his father studying and breeding cats, he is kind, but is aggressive. Finally Annie's mother, Elisabeth, who died many years ago in child birth when giving birth to Annie, she was a kind and sweet woman who simply loved all breeds of cats like Annie. Annie is very much like her mother in many of her mannerism and personality, but she gets into allot more trouble than she did. After she was born her father and brother noticed Annie's medical condition, narcolepsy, which caused her to need constant supervision, because she would fall asleep everywhere, on the way home, in stores etc.. Annie also got into trouble by being blunt with teachers, getting bullied, and falling from trees. Her father and Adrian absolutely adored her almost obsessively, and because she was always getting in trouble they constantly worried about her, so they kept her locked in the house and started home schooling her.

Though her father loves her dearly, they don’t always see eye to eye. Ever since she was young, Annie was learning the do’s and don’ts of breeding; however her older brother Adrian followed closer in his father’s foots steps than she. This allowed Annie to wander around, finding stray cats that she took care of in a shed not too far from her house. She was obsessed with finding stray cat, and she would sneak out of the house to take care of them. However, her father was becoming suspicious of what she was doing, when she started locking herself in her room all the time. Her father wanted her to always stay home or only go out when she was with someone else. Annie; however, had her stays she need to look after, but one night when her family couldn't find her, Annie’s father learned of the hide out of cats. It had been two years before her father found out, he was furious, not just because they were strays, but because he was so worried about the fact Annie had been going out alone and could have gotten hurt.

Annie was depressed for a month, she barley talked to her father and brother. But one day a letter from Hogwarts came in the mail, Annie was struck with glee and excitement, but also worry. In her family, each member has been invited to Hogwarts, but declined it in order to spend their time studying only cats and breeding. However, Annie desired greatly to go to Hogwarts, so she tried asking her father, who was still upset about the incident a month earlier. With no surprise, her father told her she was forbidden to go, and would stay home and study as a breeder. This upset Annie greatly, and words were lashed both ways. After storming to her room, she angrily gathered her a small bag of her belongings and her important letter. Annie’s loyalty to strays brought her to the decision of running away from home to peruse her dreams of building a sanctuary for stray cats, to raise and give to lower class witches and wizards who cannot afford purebred cats, she never told her father of this though. So, she decided the best decision was to go to her Aunt Alice, her father's older sister, a strong and tough woman. She was close to the family and lived somewhat close by, in addition, she knew about Annie's dreams and would definitely understand her.

On her way to her Aunt’s house, it was pouting rain, and Annie fell asleep a couple of times. At one point she passed a group of boys who were attacking a small kitten, Annie was over come with anger and leaped in and grabbed the cat. Instead of fighting though, she just grabbed the cat and kept running. The boys got a few hits in and Annie tripped a bit, so once she got to her Aunt Alice, she was soaking wet and covered in cuts in bruises. The only things she had with her were a small bag of her belongings, a crumpled letter from Hogwarts, and a cat. Her aunt was over come with surprise, and after hearing her story, her aunt called her father and explained what was going on. However, her father already knew because Annie left a note which was terribly straight forward, "Running away from home to go to Hogwarts, going to Aunt Alice, bye". Annie's father and brother were there in no time, once in side they saw a cut and bruised Annie sitting by a fire. Adrian ran over in concern,  but her father could only feel rage and started yelling and arguing with Aunt Alice. Annie stood up and yelled, for all to be quiet, which was shocking because she always kept a calm and quiet voice. Now Annie was arguing with her father who finally was just fed up and said she could just do what ever she wanted. Adrian stayed and helped clean up, and organize Annie's tiny bag of dis-sorted belongings. He noticed the cat, Annie was latched on to, Adrian was more understanding than his father when it came to Annie, so he smiled and ask what the cats name was. Annie had happily named him, Sir Scotty, her knight in furry armor. A while later, when it was finally time to get on the train, it was only Adrian and Aunt Alice saying their good byes, her father no where to be found.

Her first year she got into to a lot of trouble, do to her mannerisms, such as stashing stray cats in the common room, sleeping in class, being late for class because she fell asleep on the way, having pets in class, getting stuck on the roof and in trees...etc. Annie had turned out to be quite the trouble maker in the Hufflepuff house. Other students were assigned to keep track of her, which didn't sit well with other students at first, she was reclusive and didn't have any friends other than her cat. She would offend and upset people easily by being too bluntly honest, leaving the first half of the year to be very rough. After a while students started to notice her good traits, such as being helpful, loyal, and showing fantastic house spirit at the Quidditch games, which had sparked her obsession with sports. She started painting her face for the games and would even help others paint their faces as well. Annie was starting to get the hang of things, and when falling asleep in halls, the nearest student would wake her up as they passed by willing to give a helping hand to her.

All these events where documented in letters Annie wrote to her Aunt. Aunt Alice shared the letters with Adrian and Annie's father, who at first were worried about all the trouble she was getting in to, but after a while the letters started to talk about all the positive things she was experiencing like her new found love of watching sports. Her father missed her, and after months of cooling off, he happily read Annie's letters constantly. While Annie was away at Hogwarts her father came across a stray brown cat, that had a great likeness to Annie, he left it alone at first, but he became curious (a family trait) of why Annie loved these cats, so he took it home. Her father fed the cat and cared for it, he was slowly reminded of how his wife loved all breeds of cats, a trait he himself had lost after she had died. After caring for this cat, he started to understand how Annie felt, the cat was so much like her, needy, curious, sleeps alot, in fact the cat shared, many similarities. He named the cat socks, because of its white feet. All of this led her father to the decision of writing to Annie, instead of just reading the letters that were between her and Aunt Alice. It was almost the end of the year when her father started sending letters, and Annie read them all and wrote back, they decided to meet up when she got back and discuss their differences.

Once Annie returned home after the first year, her father and brother were waiting at the train station with Aunt Alice. Adrian and her father were beside themselves; they were terribly happy to see her and missed her dearly. Over a cup of tea, Annie explained her dreams to her father and apologize were exchanged. Her father now understood her ambitions and respected them, he also showed off Socks to Annie, and a happy family they were again. Now in her fifth year Annie has become an excellent student, though she still sleeps in class and stashes cats, she still manages to keep her grades up by constant tutoring. She never misses a sporting event, and is always writing to her family back home. Now she has friends who understand her, but she still feels the need the latch on to the incoming 1st years. After getting past her first year of Hogwarts she is now ready to take on new and different challenges that might await.
